Road Captain
A Road captain leads the ride and informs all participants of route, stops, road hazzards and riding guidelines which include a pre-ride refresher of how lane changes, signals and grouping will be done. The RC has complete authority over the ride and has the right to stop the ride (when safe to do so), to correct any unsafe or inappropriate situations. SAFETY ALWAYS COMES FIRST |
Road Safety
A Road Safety rides in middle of group and assists as RC or TG if group separates. He/She will also stop (when safe to do so) to assist riders who have pulled over, or fill TG position if TG has stopped to assist rider. |
Tailgunner
A Tailgunner rides in back of group. He/She will secure lanes for safe lane changes and is also responsible to keep the group from spreading out. He/She will also pull over to assist riders in the group. |
Note
It has been a long standing policy, with our chapter, that inexperienced members who seek to become an RC or TG, must first ride as a Road Saftey in order to understand the different positions of the group to ensure the safest possible environment for all members. |
